Political parties financing their campaigns using undeclared money, politicians promising the impossible, growing corruption and clientelism: this is the real situation on the Estonian political scene, which strikingly resembles those in many other countries, including the Czech Republic.
Political parties financing their campaigns using undeclared money, politicians promising the impossible, growing corruption and clientelism: this is the real situation on the Estonian political scene, which strikingly resembles those in many other countries, including the Czech Republic. Local theatre NO99 decided to face the society-wide disgust with prevailing practices in politics in a provocative manner: by announcing the creation of a new political party. They prepare trailers, billboard campaigns and plans for a constituent assembly of 7,000. The establishment and the media are starting to get nervous. Is it all a hoax or have they actually created a new party? The film reveals the weaknesses of today's democracy and points to the power of civil society.
