About the Film

Political parties financing their campaigns using undeclared money, politicians promising the impossible, growing corruption and clientelism: this is the real situation on the Estonian political scene, which strikingly resembles those in many other countries, including the Czech Republic. Local theatre NO99 decided to face the society-wide disgust with prevailing practices in politics in a provocative manner: by announcing the creation of a new political party. They prepare trailers, billboard campaigns and plans for a constituent assembly of 7,000. The establishment and the media are starting to get nervous. Is it all a hoax or have they actually created a new party? The film reveals the weaknesses of today's democracy and points to the power of civil society.
