Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis has affected the lives of the film's four protagonists. Each of them is trying to cope with the incurable disease by filling their remaining time in the most meaningful way. Veronika Stehlíková's longitudinal documentary presents life with the neuromuscular disease ALS, which causes a gradual weakening of the muscles, culminating in total paralysis. There is no cure as yet, and the average life expectancy is two to five years. Alena, Jarča, Tomáš, and Vladimír are aware of this certainty. Yet over four years of filming, they have not lost hope. With all their strength – physical and mental – and the support of family and friends, they continue to travel, dance, love... Touching, as well as unexpectedly humorous, moments emerge from the perceptive observation of everyday situations.
