What if the world was ruled by women? Would conflicts be easier to resolve? Would peace prevail instead of war? Could they cope with the threat of nuclear war better than men?
This remarkable, at times scathingly funny film experiment portrays a group of women representing a fictional, all-female government of a fictional country. The women, sitting together in a control room, are facing an escalating nuclear threat from another state led by the imaginary President Twittler, a narcissist who sees politics as a TV show and loves to make sweeping proclamations. The protagonists, including actresses and real-life experts in defence, law and psychology, are trying to work out a way to avert a devastating war. But the symbolic Doomsday Clock, which counts down the time to global catastrophe, is relentlessly ticking in the background.
